Windows 7 RC

Last weekend I downloaded Windows 7 RC. Installation was really slack... I had only one problem. It was that my D-drive was not mounted as I logged in first time. I had go through "Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management" to assign mounting point. Happily, I find that now I can mount partitions where ever I want... I chose conservatively H for a drive letter because letters D,E and F were marked for my secondary HDD.

One thing I liked was that gadgets are floating and you can drag them where ever you like. I draged some gadgets from "rigth mouse click -> gadgets" to bottom of the screen as you can see from the screen shot.

I am little worried about overall system performance over a long time because I have installed OS in some what outdated machine. But now OS seems to be snappy and responsive.

Allthough it is Release Candidate my quess is that it is ready for production but Windows wants to engage people for it. If installation of new operations system is not a problem I recomend it for systems that are proved to function proberly with Vista.
